Basic Knowledge Of Quartz

Quartz stone is a new type of stone with 92% quartz sand powder and 8% resin, pigment and other auxiliary materials pressed under high pressure in vacuum and shaped under high temperature. It is an environmentally friendly and green new building material and decoration material without radioactive pollution and reusable.

1. Resin content (including all liquid accessories) 7-12%.

Less than 7%, insufficient toughness and easy to fracture; Higher than 12%, easy to deform. Some quartzite resin content is about 15%, so it is pseudoquartzite.

2. It must be formed under high pressure in vacuum.

Whether it is low-pressure forming or pouring forming, the compactness of quartz plate is insufficient, which is easy to seep color and not resistant to pollution, so it is pseudoquartz.

3. The hardness of quartz stone plate must be provided by quartz sand.

Glass is not quartz, and the proportion (mass percentage) of glass particles in quartz stone plate must be less than 20%.

4. Cure and set at high temperature.

Some quartzites are mainly formed by cold curing or low-temperature curing below 100 ℃, so they are pseudoquartzite.

5). Other additives: the resin is a kind of high polymer material. Adding some additives appropriately can improve its process, improve production efficiency, enhance the performance of quartz stone and prolong its service life.
